Foundations
Create your first Occlusia drawing
Use a focused source model and one intentional section to learn the complete workflow before moving to a larger drawing set.
Before you begin
- Occlusia open in a recent web browser, and your Occlusia account.
- A compatible SketchUp or Blender version, as listed with the Occlusia Link download.
- A saved source model with a clearly defined section to document.
- A simple test file that can be changed without affecting production work.
Connect and synchronize
- 01
Install the matching Link
Follow the package instructions for your host and restart the host application if the installer requests it.
- 02
Open both sides of the workflow
Open the saved source model in its host and Occlusia in your browser. Sign in, then connect the two when prompted.
- 03
Choose the intended section
Confirm its orientation and scope in the host before sending model information to Occlusia.
- 04
Run the synchronization
Use Occlusia Link in the host, then wait for the operation to finish before editing the source again.
- 05
Inspect the 2D result
Compare the drawing with the source section and resolve missing or unexpected geometry before styling it.
Make a first drawing pass
- Establish the main cut and projection line hierarchy before adding detail.
- Use hatches only where they clarify material or section relationships.
- Add a small set of annotations that explains the view without covering geometry.
- Review the drawing at its intended reading size, not only while zoomed in.
Test one model change
Make one obvious change in the source model, save it, and synchronize again. Review the affected geometry and every nearby annotation before treating the drawing as current.
