Output

Save, reopen, recover, reuse

A project keeps a model with all its settings. Configurations carry settings to other models. Undo takes back any change, and a recovery copy protects unsaved work.

Projects

A project (.occp) holds the model and everything you set: objects, views, notes, spot elevations, layers, pattern presets and line styles. Reopening it brings everything back, without the original model file.

Save
⌘S or Ctrl+S. In Chrome and Edge, the file is written in place once chosen; in Safari and Firefox, each save downloads it again.
Save As...
⇧⌘S or Ctrl+Shift+S: a new file.
Open Project...
⌘O or Ctrl+O. It asks first if the current project has unsaved changes.
New Project
Closes the model and starts again from your default configuration.

A ● before the tab's title means unsaved changes; the browser then asks before you leave the page.

The recovery copy

Every change is copied to your browser's storage two seconds later, and when the tab is hidden or closed. Next time you open Occlusia in that browser, signed in to the same account, your unsaved work comes back, still linked to its file. The copy stays in that browser and is never sent to Occlusia: save the project to keep it for good.

Configurations

Export › Configuration (.occc)
Saves the settings alone — layers, presets, line styles and every object, view, note and spot elevation setting — without the model.
Import › Configuration (.occc)
Replaces every setting with those of the file, applied by name. One step of undo.
Set as Default Configuration
Makes the current settings the start of every new project in this browser.

Undo and redo

  • ⌘Z or Ctrl+Z takes back the last change; ⇧⌘Z, Ctrl+Shift+Z or Ctrl+Y does it again. The menu's Undo and Redo say which change.
  • One action is one step, even when it changed many objects. Up to 100 steps are kept.
  • Saving keeps the history; opening another project or importing a model starts a new one.
  • While you type in a field, ⌘Z undoes the typing first.
