Integration
Connect a SketchUp model to Occlusia
Prepare clear section intent in SketchUp, use the matching Occlusia Link build, and verify the 2D result after synchronization.
Check compatibility first
- Confirm that your SketchUp version appears in the compatibility notes supplied with Occlusia Link.
- Use the Link package intended for your operating system and host version.
- Save and close important production files before installing or updating an extension.
Prepare the SketchUp model
- Resolve obvious geometry issues before starting the documentation pass.
- Organize the model so the intended section is easy to isolate and verify.
- Give important sections clear names rather than relying on creation order.
- Confirm the section direction and visible scope from the view you intend to document.
- Save the file before opening Occlusia Link.
Install, connect, and synchronize
- 01
Install the extension
Follow the installation instructions supplied with the download, then restart SketchUp if requested.
- 02
Open the saved model
Verify that the intended section is still present and oriented correctly.
- 03
Open Occlusia Link
Use the extension entry or toolbar exposed by your installed build and complete any connection prompt.
- 04
Choose the relevant content
Use the controls available in your build to select the model information and sections needed by Occlusia.
- 05
Synchronize and inspect
Wait for completion, then compare the resulting drawing geometry with the SketchUp section.
Quick checks
The Link is not visibleConfirm the extension is enabled, verify version compatibility, and restart SketchUp.
A section is missingConfirm it exists in the saved file, check its intended visibility, then run the synchronization again.
The result looks outdatedSave the current SketchUp file, synchronize explicitly, and review the operation status.
Geometry is unexpectedReturn to the source model, isolate the section, and resolve geometry or organization issues there first.
